2. Great product

Obviously, the site needs to have a great product that is popular.  If there is a ton of traffic on the search engines for it, then you should be able to find a way to carve out a slice of that traffic through targeted keywords.  I like to check traffic with the Adwords keyword tool on Google.  I use Google because 77-78% of searches performed are done there.

3.  The site itself must look good.

If you visit the site of the affiliate marketing network program that you want to promote, it should not make you laugh out loud about how terrible it looks.  If you do not like the site, chances are nobody else will, either.  Think like a consumer who is searching for the product.  They will not be able to trust a company with a poor site.  

4. Low competition

The successful companies are the ones who can solve the problems of a specific group of consumers.  If you search on Google and find few companies that are solving the same problem, chances are that you can make it profitable.

5.  They should only allow online orders.

Well, the internet is now one huge competitive field in terms of marketing. So you really must stand out in the crowd.

As a business you either lower your prices to under cut your competitors or you give value to people searching for a solution to their need or problem. Only the latter builds a proper relationship.

So if success is about giving value and building a relationship, it figures that leading with great content will win hands down.

But it’s not just any ol’ content. That content really has to make a difference to the person, move them or move them forward somehow.

Try to look through the eyes of your prospect, walk in their shoes a while … and try to pin down how you can best serve their particular needs.

Great content is given away to generate interest in You Inc. You are marketing yourself, so be knowledgable, be an authority, but above all, be authentic.
